Timothy lives with his elderly father who is advanced in age and frequently unwell, but despite this tries his best to care for Timothy through small-scale farming by growing maize and vegetables to sustain the household. Timothy’s mother left home in November 2019 with the other 5 children and left Timothy behind with his father. Her whereabouts is currently not known.
Timothy is in grade 5 at primary school and his favourite subjects are English and Environmental Studies. In the future, he would like to become a teacher, a goal inspired by his love for learning. Timothy’s academic journey hasn’t been easy due to the impact of poverty and his father’s limited capacity to earn an income but he is steadily getting closer to achieving his expected targets. With full sponsorship, and provision of academic materials and regular food, Timothy could do well in his education and secure a stable future for himself and his family.

The moment you start to support one of our children at St Irene’s or Noah’s Ark we instantly work on building that bond between you and your sponsored child. We’ll send you a Welcome Pack the moment your sponsorship begins and you will receive three updates throughout the year from us about your child – a home visit report, birthday update and a handwritten letter/drawing from your sponsored child.
We allocate the different sponsorship amounts you generously pledge according to the type of support needed by the children in our care. Your donation will help towards the costs of education, food security, health, psychosocial support, income generating activities and so much more!
