Silas is the youngest of three children and his mother passed away in 2010. Since then, he has been raised by his maternal aunt, who relies on casual labour to provide for the family. Her income is irregular and often insufficient to cover school fees and basic needs, leaving Silas vulnerable. Despite this, he has shown remarkable resilience and maturity, staying focused on his education as his pathway to a better future.
Now in Form Four, Silas is preparing for his National Examinations. He dreams of becoming a software engineer, inspired by his love of science and problem-solving. With continued support, Silas has the potential to progress into higher education or technical training and build a stable, independent future.
Silas enjoys playing football and taking part in school drama, which help build his confidence and teamwork skills.

What sponsorship means
The moment you start to support one of our children at St Irene’s or Noah’s Ark we instantly work on building that bond between you and your sponsored child. We’ll send you a Welcome Pack the moment your sponsorship begins and you will receive three updates throughout the year from us about your child – a home visit report, birthday update and a handwritten letter/drawing from your sponsored child.
We allocate the different sponsorship amounts you generously pledge according to the type of support needed by the children in our care. Your donation will help towards the costs of education, food security, health, psychosocial support, income generating activities and so much more!
